I’ve been playing a lot of Minecraft and happened to find Conquest Reforged: a super cool mod pack found either from their website or on the Curse/Twitch desktop app that adds a plethora of unique block types and custom models, as well as an easy system to switch from a block to the stair version or slab. The full pack also comes with the shader that I used to take these screenshots. 

Overall the pack is a super lightweight one, running really well on just my basic laptop (without the shaders). This is the first building I made using the pack. I may or may not post snippets of later builds at some point as I intend on building a whole town, but I really just wanted to show off this really cool modpack.

Character Design Questions

🕸 1. Who’s the oldest character of yours that you still use?

His name is Buddy, he’s been around for... 12 yrs now? He started out as a kind of ‘signature’ and has now developed into a full character. Might post something about him in the future...

🎨 6. When creating a character, do you come up with the visual concept or the written concept first?

Both? It depends? I think most of the time it comes from a written concept, but sometimes I develop a character design that I really like while doodling.

♨️ 10. Is there a character that explores your interests or fetishes (orrrr is that just all of you characters)?

I’m pretty sure each of my characters has something, tho I don’t think I’ve ever created a character for only the purpose of exploring an interest. 

🎇 14. When writing for specific characters, is there anything you have to do to get into the right mindset?

I don’t think there’s ever anything specific I need to do. If I’m having troubles I will usually go back and read older pieces. My characters don’t typically have voices I can’t relate to in someway - tho some moods bring out certain characters better.

🎬 20. Do you ever plan to do anything (comic, animation, etc) with your characters? Or are you just happy to have them? 

Oh god... I have so many ideas for things - just scared of doing them. I continue to convince myself that I’m not confident in my style yet to draw anything. I do have one comic planned with characters I haven’t shown here and an animation I’m hoping to get a grant to complete. So maybe in the future. 

However, I’m always happy to have my characters around, they help me to cope with things in life.

When you finally decided to go to bed earlier than normal because you're exhausted and then all of a sudden your brain's like "Hey! Let's be creative!!" And you just try to fall asleep faster before it gets worse...

1) How did you get into Dragon Age?

The first time I was introduced to the game was when a friend of mine let me play a bit of Origins on her PS3. She had always recommended it to me but I didn’t have the console at the time and I didn’t spend enough time at her place to play it. It was a long time later when I got a job at a restaurant that two of my co-workers were going on and on about it and I finally caved and asked my parents for a PS3 and Origins. 

They got me Inquisition “because I didn’t need to play the other games to understand it” and honestly, if it weren’t for my coworkers the whole dragon age train would have ended there for me. I wasn’t very invested in the story. Thankfully I got the other two games and was immediately hooked into the lore and the characters.  

4)What was your first Warden (gender/class/race/personality)?

Ninimel Mahariel. He was my first and so far only official Warden. I’ve created others since but never gotten much passed their introductions sadly (which is why they are not companions). He’s a male Dalish elf and a rogue specializing in ranged weapons. His preference is longbows but he has a proficiency with crossbows as well. He’s a cocky asshole who only did nice things because he didn’t want to listen to Alistair complain all the time (and then because he didn’t want to make Zevran sad). If it weren’t for those two he’d probably leave all human’s to solve their own problems.

28) Inquisitor’s feelings on being the Herald of Andraste?

Kyne doesn’t like it. She’s Dalish and she believes in the Creators. Andraste and the Maker mean very little to her and she hates being known for her connection to them as opposed to the deities that she worships, although she doesn’t complain openly about it.

Later, after being with Cullen for a time and listening to him tell her some stories he learned during his training, she made some connections with a few of the stories the elders told them about the Creators. So she decided that perhaps the Maker was one of the Creators, only that he favoured mankind as opposed to the elvhen, which is why they worshipped him.

72) Did you see Dawn of the Seeker?

I haven’t actually watched it but it is literally sitting on my shelf with the plastic still on it. I want to get to it but then again there are a million other things I just need to sit down and watch that I don’t know if I have enough time in my life to catch up. Hopefully soon tho!

Well, for the last two weeks I’ve been housesitting for my friend and babysitting her dog and cat! Course this is also nice for me to get away from home for a while~
