Just so everyone knows, in Deshi’s storyline, Kira never leaves to meet the Skin Walkers in the first place. He’s the one who helps Kira stay in control. The Skin Walkers are just not even a thing in my head now that Deshi’s there because he would be doing everything he could to help her control her spirit. All while just being pissed off at Noshiko for being such a shitty mother.

What Does Love Mean To You?

something you want to believe in

at some point you experienced something that you thought was love and then it turned out to be an cheap imitation of the affection and sincerity that you wanted and deserved. you believe you fell for the façade, but you didn't, i promise you. you believed in love enough that you believed you could shape insincerity into love if you just tried hard enough. but love - real, genuine love - you have to try, but you don't have to try to make something that isn't love into love. keep believing in love, because the beautiful kind that you try so hard to see in everything, it exists for you. you deserve more and you deserve the love that you want.

You guys don't understand how much I love the relationship between Deshi and Kira. No matter the thread, the relationship is always the same. They’re such fucking opposites. Deshi is the annoying and rude older brother while Kira is the bubbly and happy-go-lucky little sister. Deshi is a tree person and Kira is tiny.

For most of Kira's life she didn't even know Deshi existed and for a majority of his he resented her. Despite how he planned on killing her when he first accepted the hit, he couldn't go through with it. Even with their fucked up past and lack of trust when it comes to family, THEY LOVE EACH OTHER.

I always say how their Kitsune spirits knew to trust each other the moment they reunited but it's so much more than that. Deshi remembers when his parents first told him he was going to be a big brother. He remembers promising Kira the day she was born that he would always be there and protect her. On some level I feel like Kira REMEMBERS Deshi even if they were only together for a few years when she was young.

They trust each other with their lives. Kira is the only person who knows the full story of what happened with Deshi's ex, Jenna. Not even his mentor Yua, who ended up saving his life, knows the full story. He trusts her to see him vulnerable when the anniversary comes up. He trusts her to see him without a shirt and have his scar on full display.

Despite Kira not knowing him when he first showed up, she TRUSTED him to train her to control her powers. She knew that he wouldn't end up turning on her no matter how hard he was in training. They weren't a family for over a decade but it's like they were never separated.

They have movie nights where they marathon Studio Ghibli movies. Deshi will cook for Kira and ask her what she thinks. They buy desserts and food for each other because they know the others favorite foods. They even made up their own language by mixing Japanese and Korean so no one can understand them.

FFS, Deshi has kept a picture of him and Kira asleep next to each other when they were little in his wallet. Even though he hated and blamed her for him being sent away, HE FUCKING KEPT IT. Deshi would die for Kira and she would do the same. They are so protective over each other and even when they argue they could never stay mad at each other.

Anyway, I could go on for days about how much I love these siblings but I'll leave it at that.

HOW DO YOU FEEL WHEN YOU’RE IN LOVE ?

you can’t stop overthinking everything and you see the flaws in yourself and the one you love faster than any of the other feelings do. you feel guilty and cold deep down, because you can’t stop taking a strategic and intellectual approach to love. if there’s a problem, you fix it; if there’s a confrontation, you analyse it; if there’s dissatisfaction, you seek to find the fault. this is a both a blessing and a curse, because you’re a problem solver but your analytical outlook can cause you to nit-pick and cause problems instead, creating a destructive cycle. you can’t help but feel the eyes of the world when experiencing your love, you look to society and others to guide your strategies. love exists beyond two people, it’s tethered to the weight of the world. you may suit those who are at-ease and should avoid those who feel uncalibrated or desperate.

Why do you hurt?

‘You were meant to.’

it was built into you. designed for you. there is pain here because it was meant for you, and how fucking dare they. your suffering is not their right. you hurt because they gave you ways to suffer and carved it into you when you could not breathe, because the intention always was that they could weaponize your pain against you. it is Yours. You are Yours. How fucking dare they. they cannot make you theirs; do not let them try.

FOX HEADCANON;

Upon first look, you can tell that Deshi takes care of his body. He works out every day, sometimes multiple times of the day, without fail. What he tells people is that he keeps up with the training for his job but there are other reasons.

When Deshi lived with Yua, she had instilled the idea of routine in his life for years. He didn't start putting real effort in it until after things happened with his ex. Yes, staying in shape helps with his job but it also pulls attention away from his scars. He learned that if he stayed in shape that his physique would be the first thing someone looks at instead of the one thing he can't change or hide completely, his scar.

Despite how he relies on his physical attractiveness to take away attention from his scar, he never is without a shirt around people he doesn't know due to the burn taking over the majority of his back. He will allow people to touch beneath the shirt as long as they stay away from his back and neck but he is never completely exposed.

Unless he truly feels comfortable and cares for someone then he will be willing to be completely naked since he doesn't fear judgement. If Deshi is ever shirtless in your presence then that's his way of saying that he trusts you and no one should take that for granted.

I’ve always had this idea that if a Kitsune holds one of its own tails that they could be overcome by power. It’s why they don’t keep them on their person at all times. The only time a Kitsune should be wielding their tail is in life or death situations. It’s this addicting power that Kitsune who haven’t mastered it could easily drown in it and just lose control.

It makes me want a thread where Deshi has to use his tail (for some reason or another) and ends up going (kinda?) feral with the power.
