“You must be Leon.”

Agate’s eyes widened. He was towering over her at a height easily over six-feet and although that wasn’t what she was expecting, that wasn’t what had her in awe. No, what caught her by surprise was the fact that he was part fox. She was very keen on animals and the details of their anatomy which is how she knew that this wasn’t some costume.

When she felt herself staring for just a second too long, she pushed her shoulders back, stood up to her full height, and held out a hand for him to shake.

“Name’s Agate. I’m your new boss.”

“Hi-ho~♪”

Pia chimed as she walked into the Sea Breeze Bar and Grill for lunch. The mermaid rarely ate out for humans had a disgusting love for seafood dishes, but she had decided that today she’d try something new.

The first person she saw was when she walked in was a tall- very tall - tanned, man with fox ears. And a tail?! Her eyes lit up and she smiled. It has been a long time since she had last seen someone like that!

Long Owed Date || Maerwen & Leon

Purchasing a date had been...foolish. She accepted that. The fact that it had taken so long to pay up on this debt as well was embarrassing, and she rather hoped that the man whose time she’d purchased wouldn’t rub it in her face, but...ah, things had changed. They’d gotten busy. She’d made a friend and lost her just as fast, as if she’d never been there at all. That alone was difficult to deal with - how did she always lose everything that she touched?

But she would make it right again today. Or at least take steps toward trying. She needed to close up her debts so she could move forward again.

She’d requested her date to meet her at the docks of Leuda after both of them finished their work for the day, and as she stood on the edge of the deck in her long-sleeved simple floral dress, she considered how she’d set a prettier scene than she’d planned. The sun was just beginning to set, and the coolness of the evening that she welcomed was starting to prick the bare skin of her cheeks. Perhaps she wouldn’t make as big of a mess of this evening as she’d thought she might.
