Afternoon, folks! Mod Nat here with an important announcement to make.
After witnessing recent activity trends in the group, and discussing with other mods, we have decided to close The Pelago Islands down... in a manner of speaking. As such, there won't be a check today. The previous one will be the last.
All three of us mods have grown increasingly busy in our lives as of late, and have quite honestly lost the passion needed to run this group at its absolute best. While we will be taking a step back for those reasons, this is not the ultimate end of PI. There won't be any new events or plot developments on our end, but if you would like to continue writing in this setting and using it for your own purposes, you are free to remain in the server and RP Hub without the threat of being removed for insufficient activity.
This group, while initially started by me and Tay, has very much grown into a collaborative effort between us and the writers who have come and gone over the years. It wouldn't sit well with us to take it away from you, especially not after all the investment and work so many of you have put into it!
So if there are friends you have, or any interested parties you might know who would want to write a character here as well, feel free to invite them. Just message me, Mod Nat (if you don’t have my Discord, msg me @ragunyans on Twitter), first, and I'll be happy to give them access to the server if they need. We likely won’t be checking this blog much for the foreseeable future, so messages to the main will be highly discouraged.
This is a bit of a bittersweet development, but we truly thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for giving PI your all these past five years. It was amazing fun, and an incredibly good run! Know that if any of you ever want to speak with us, we're still a message away.

Two weeks have gone by, and the current activity period has ended! This post will be listing all of the characters who have and haven’t met their post requirements, as well as provide them with their pay and expenses for the last two weeks, so be sure to read this to collect/pay your bank, and to make sure whether or not your character is in danger of being dropped!
To pass, your character must have at least THREE RP POSTS. This includes ask memes, and anything else written in character, regardless of length. Music, Money Posts, and Artwork don’t count for activity unless they have a RP component to them. If your character hasn’t met the post requirement, then they will fail. If they fail the subsequent check, then that character will be dropped from the Masterlist. Failed characters do not get the money bonuses from the Activity Check. Instead, they will only be awarded 500G and whatever expenses that applies to them (rent, commuter’s pass). Hopefully you’ll be able to keep up with your activity next go-round!
If you are a new arrival to the group (as in, you’ve joined during this activity period), then you will automatically pass. With the release of Pioneers of Olive Town, the group will now be opening reserves for characters from that game! It will have its own section added to the Masterlist, so for those of you who may wish to pick up a new Pioneers muse, go ahead and either reserve them in the Discord’s mod channel, or via an ask to the main blog!
