A cup of coffee is part of my daily morning ritual. It's one of the first things I do once I roll out of bed. It's not a good day until I had at least a sip of the sweet and savory drink.
Dragging my feet to the kitchen to make breakfast. I gently toss my phone onto the kitchen island. My stomach growled, looking around for something quick to eat. Forgetting I bought these Biscotti treats I take two out of the glass container and eat one.
LAVENDER LATTE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS:
1 tbsp of lavender buds for lavender simple syrup
1/4 cup of water for lavender simple syrup
1/4 cup of Sugar
1-2 shots of your choice of Espresso
Your choice of milk. I use oat milk
Turning on the sink and placing the dark kettle underneath the faucet, watching it fill to the line before removing the kettle and placing it on the sink.
The gas stove fire rises to heat the kettle slowly, leaning against the counter with my phone in hand, scrolling through Tiktok and laughing to myself at the videos. The kettle sounds off, reaching for the kettle off of the stove and pouring the boiled water over the ground coffee beans. While it gradually drips into the coffee cup, I bring over the coffee cup and syrup mixture.

After having my morning coffee and a couple of minutes of DIY YouTube videos, I feel confident in painting these walls. I turned on Spotify, looked at the space grab the spare old newspaper, and placed them on the ground, holding the paint from the hallway and paint tray filling it to the indicating line. Using the paint tape to line the baseboards of the room and covering the outlets. Walking back to the paint tray and new brush, I begin painting the room.

Wiping my forehead with the back of my hand, I smile after the room. As I put the paintbrush and tray down, I see that my body is covered in dry paint, flipping my hand and arms around to see the mess. I walk downstairs to the laundry room to get some spare clothing; sitting on the rug, I hear my phone notification go off. Mid reaching into the laundry basket, I glance at the device to see who it could be.
I smiled. It was the woman that I've been getting to from the park.

Out of nowhere, the power goes out while we are on Facetime.
She looked worried in her eyes. "Are you sure you want to get off the phone..." She sat up a bit from lying down.
Rubbing the back of my neck, knowing I have to get off the phone with her to go see what happened. " Not really, but I do need to make a call to the electrician in case. I will call you back in a moment..."
She sighs and pouts. "Promise?"
Looking at her, I nod. "Yes, if I don't call me back in 10 minutes."
