FP Delos Santos to release special EP "MKT" on December 18!
In time for his first debut anniversary, FP Delos Santos will release an extended play (EP) titled "MKT" on December 18, 2023, Monday.
MKT is FP Delos Santos' first music release since his first single "NEW 20" in September. Marketed as a "special mini album" release for the year, the EP contains four tracks performed in Filipino and Korean, all inspired by the recent resurgence of dance music genres from the late 1990s and early 2000s as well as the recent events surrounding Makati, a city in Metro Manila, Philippines. MKT is the initialism for Makati City, the central theme of the EP.
The first track, "M (A)" is a Korean interlude that features 8-bit leads, house beats, and a Jersey beat drop. The second song, "MAKATI", is a UK garage song which is about the appreciation of a person who wants to live in Makati City. The third song, "cloud burst" is a short UK garage track performed in Korean and is about defying limits and judgements. The final track, "Cool Wind", is the EP's title track, and it is a nu-disco song which is about the appreciation of the cold weather enveloping the Philippines from December to February.
MKT will be released on December 18, 2023 across major digital music platforms for download and streaming, with a CD release targeted sometime the following year, 2024.
