FPL Challenge Gameweek 6.1- Saturday Recap

What a day! A very strong start this week, all thanks to Roefs, let's jump into the recap, shall we?

Just to refresh you, this week's mini challenge is Young Guns, all players 23 years of age or younger are double valued, all 6 of my players fit this category.

Starting with the man, the myth, the legend himself, captained Robin Roefs carried, bringing in 40 points. He played a full 90', kept a clean sheet, made 6 saves, and picked up an additional 2 points, naturally doubled per his captaincy.

In defense I played Nico O'Reilly, who brough tin 4 points from his 82' contribution in game today.

In the midfield, I had the almost-captained Yankuba Minteh bring in 10 points in his fixture against Chelsea today, playing a full 90' and picking up an assist.

My first Spur of the season, Lucas Bergvall picked up 2 points, having played 77', but picking up a yellow in the meantime.

Lastly, we have Alex Scott who picked up 2 points of his own in his 30' contribution.

This brings me to a total of 58 points so far this week, 175 points and a top 15% global ranking for this event (GW4-10). In total I've got 301 points for the season. I know I've talked a lot about hopefully being ranked soon (I remember it being early on last season, but hopefully by the end of this week it should work, but research says you have to play 5 gameweeks- which I have- prior to being ranked)

FPL Challenge Gameweek 10.0- Preliminary Picks

A belated Team Sheets Thursday, I'm sincerely hoping this week has been kinder to you than it has to me, dear reader.

We've officially reached double digits in terms of gameweeks- it feels like this season's sort of flying by.

This week's FPL Challenge is the final installation in the Coca-Cola Beat the Icon series, the icon being Tays. The theme is Winning Feeling, in which double points are awarded for all winning goals. With an unlimited budget, the only limitation remains similarly to weeks past in which you can only have one player per club.

Last week I beat Nemzzz, who brought in 34 points to my 64.

I've gone for a 1-2-2 hoping to maximize my goal scoring opportunities. There's not a lot of rhyme or reason to my squad this week, planning something like a game winning goal ahead of time is not inherently simple, so this whole squad really is just a big hit and hope, hoping to pick up as many points as I can.

In the back I've gone for Roefs who faces Everton at home.

In the midfield we have Semenyo and Mo Salah, hoping to maximize goal scoring opportunities that eventually, if I keep holding out, Salah will produce something.

Up top we have Haaland and Joao Pedro, it's rare that I bring a Chelsea player into the squad, so I sincerely hope he doesn't let me down.

FPLC Challenge Gameweek 1.1- Friday Recap

Very strong start to the FPL Challenge. Liverpool's Ekitike scored the first goal of the season, assisted another, and played for a whopping 71', earning himself 9 points in game plus 2 bonus points- but per the challenge, all new signings are worth double.

He's currently only priced at 8.5M, so if you're considering transferring him into your starting XI, I'd do so soon, I can't imagine it'll be long before he joins the list of price increases. I'm off to a strong start with a total of 22 points and 5 more players to add to the pot.

I finished the first day of the gameweek at a Top 10% global rating, and 37 points behind the top scorer today. Tomorrow, Wilson, Ait Nouri, and Ramsdale all have fixtures. Stay tuned!

FPL Challenge Gameweek 22.1- Saturday Recap

Quick recap: this week's challenge is The Playmaker, where there's an additional point for every chance created.

Starting in the back and working our way up, Roefs brought in 2 points through 90' on the field

Big Gabi, carrying both this squad and my main XI, brought in 7 points through 90', maintenance of a clean sheet, and a bonus point.

Doku brought in 4 points being captained and playing 79'.

Stach decided to pick up a muscle injury and not play at all.

Lastly, Ekitike earned 3 points today playing 90' and picking up an additional point for a key pass (chance created)

This brings me to 16 points for the week and a top 70% global rank (absolutely brutal).

I've reached 16 event points and I'm sat at a top 95% global ranking (also absolutely brutal).

For this season I'm at 1,053 points having played 19/21 gameweeks, luckily clonging to my World Class 4 ranking, hoping to reach Legend once again before the end of the season.

FPL Challenge Gameweek 11.2- Sunday Recap

Yeeeeesh what a crummy start to the event, only 17 points earned this week, not great but not horrible either- at least I kept my Legend status.

Quick recap: this week's challenge is Change the Game. Any and all bonus points are doubled. Yikes !

Semenyo brought in nothing, having playing 90', but missing a penalty, he ended up blanking entirely.

Gravenberch brought in 2 points through 90' on the pitch.

Haaland brought in 4 points through 90' on the pitch, scoring a goal, but dropping points to a missed penalty.

You know it's a rough one when Joao Pedro's the only one to come through haha.

This has brought me to 17 total points for the week thus far, super slow. I'm at 85% global rank for the week it was incredibly rough.

FPL Challenge Gameweek 11.0- Preliminary Picks

We've made it to another Team Sheets Thursday! Let's get into it!

We've officially reached the third event of the FPL Challenge season! To conclude the Coca-Cola Beat the Icon series, Tays earned a highly impressive 73 points, though I did still beat him by earning 78 points, so I can officially say I beat all the icons this season!

Stepping out of the old and into the new, this new event is Football Manager for gameweeks 11-13. This week's challenge is Change the Game in which all bonus points awarded are doubled. Unlimited budget with the only limitation being one player per club.

I've gone for another 1-2-2 hoping to maximize my bonus points throughout players that have a decent amount of bonus points to their name thus far this season.

In the back we have Vicario who'll face United at home, hoping for a shutout and something impressive enough to award him with some bonus points.

In the back we have Big Gabi, hoping for some bonus points in his meeting with Sunderland this week.

In the midfield we've got Semenyo and Gravenberch hopefully holding things down.

Up top we've got Haaland and Joao Pedro. It's not shown in this picture, but I've just switched Pedro to my captain to hopefully maximize points even if he isn't a top earner this week.

FPL Challenge Gameweek 10.2- Sunday Recap

A belated Sunday update, but a Sunday update nonetheless. Let's dive into it!

Quick recap: this week's challenge is Winning Feeling, in which double points are awarded for all winning goals! Unlimited budget, with a limitation of one player per team.

Two more players have added to the pot, with one more playing in Monday's fixture, let's start from the back and work our way up.

Disappointingly enough, Semenyo brought in 2 points through 90' on the pitch. He's considerably blanked consistently since GW7, but that's not a major concern for FPL Challenge.

Captained Haaland brought in 34 points, playing 81', scoring a brace- one of this goals being double valued for being a winning goal, and picking up 3 bonus points.

This has brought me to 76 total point for the week, securing a top 5% global ranking for GW10. I've reached 450 points for the event specifically, placing me in a top 1% global ranking. Overall, I've reached 576 season points, and I'm still sitting at a ranking of World Class 4.
