My hot opinion about selling dragons with art is: no matter how cool the art is, or the dragon, it’s really more about the personality and relatability of the character. I’ve seen some gorgeous dragons with gorgeous art remain unsold for months because they are Pretty, but Boring. You’d have to find the right person that’s willing to project their ideas on a new character AND make it at a price they can pay. There’s a reason people love g1s so much: a total blank slate that can be projected onto. If the art doesn’t connect with the audience it might as well not be there.

Am I wrong?? I’d love to hear thoughts.

What’s a considerably popular and liked gene that you dislike?

For me it’s peacock. When I scry I don’t use it because I like it, I use it to make a terrible tertiary colour look decent, as a last resort.

ok as an explanation for why I said I hate the Gaoler Orders: It's actually less of the orders themselves and more like... Gaoler lore is super limiting?

Like, it seems to be implied that all that Gaolers do are guard the prisons and seek out the shade? Surely they do other stuff right? Are all Gaolers involved in offical Ice business in an order?

I know that you can obviously ignore all canon lore but Gaoler lore is integral to well... Gaolers! It's incredibly easy to ignore Ridgeback lore, not so much for Gaolers if that makes sense?

Genes change the physical appearance of a dragon, yes, but what if there were internal/behavioral characteristics that came with certain genes?

- Jupiter/Saturn and Star/Con giving dragons impeccable night vision and an acute sense of where the stars are, making them excellent skycharters; they can fly higher and withstand great amounts of pressure

- Vipera makes any dragon a lot more like pit vipers, slit pupils and thermal pits; they can unhinge their jaws and eat anything whole, even if they have teeth for chewing

- Capsule liquefies all their organs and melts them into the liquid you see in the Capsule gene; dragons are advised to take very good care of their undersides, lest their insides start to leak out

- Wasp/Bee gives dragons more insectoid behaviors, mostly with staying clustered together in their "hive" which can prove to be annoying in clans that like personal space

- Butterfly wings are lighter and more delicate-- not as much as a real butterfly's, but they are more susceptible to membrane tearing, bone breaking and feather clipping; though they can fly a bit faster than the others, its advised they dont push their limits too much.

so uh, my question is if theres anyone whos willing to hold onto two of my dragons in a few days, so that i can hatch that nest and speed exalt those bbys n scattereye val n take my babs back!

i might do the breed project dragons bc the lack of complicated apparel, but if ud rather a perma it'd probs be teque or nirv's snap crackle pop bf bc they have minimal apparel.

BUT as well, if i do find someone, id love for collateral of some sort (not another dragon obvos) 2 account for my babs ;0;
