any tips on sitting through holocaust movies in euro history classes? im very easily emotional and tend to cry during these, but i have to watch it.

That’s a tough one. If you absolutely can’t step out and go to the bathroom for a bit if it becomes overwhelming, I’d advise sitting near the back of the room and bringing some tissues. I’m not sure if you’re in high school or university, but talking to your teacher/prof about it privately can be really helpful if they’re generally an understanding person. I’m sure you’re not the only one upset by the movies. Good luck, and let me know if you need more advice! <3

do you have any opinion on English Language torahs for someone looking into conversion?? is there a translation that is generally considered better??

In 2016, I met and fell pretty hard for a man who is an Orthodox Jew. The feeling was mutual and our relationship got very serious very quickly, until his parents more or less insisted he break it off, since I am not Jewish. We're both only 20, and I've been struggling with coming to terms with the whole thing and I'm having a lot of trouble getting over it, because I really think we were meant to be together. Just wondering if you had any thoughts?

I’m sorry you’re going through this--that must be super difficult :( I honestly don’t have enough personal experience to offer too much insight into his or his parents’ thought processes but I am always here if you want to talk or vent or anything. I’m going to call upon my followers who know a lot more about Orthodoxy to offer some insight!
