This place definitely wasn't familiar. She was certain she'd heard a Duel Spirit calling for help, but her attempts at following the voice had definitely gotten her to someplace unfamiliar. There were these... these noises coming from every which way. It wasn't that she couldn't fight, definitely not! But those noises just weren'tnatural. She'd heard a lot of things in her time, but this definitely wasn't one of them. And of course neither her master nor her teacher were anywhere in sight. After a moments he tightened her lips.
"Come on, Black Magician Girl! Pull yourself together! Just because you're a creepy place you've never seen before with no way to get home doesn't mean you should panic! Definitely not, in fact you sho-" she cut herself off when she heard a footstep behind her. She spun around in mid-air as a ball of black energy gathered on her staff and let out a startled shout, "Black Burning!!"
She instantly realized that the person behind her was just a human around the age as her Master. Her eyes widened as she threw the hand holding her staff upwards, forcing the ball of energy into an upward trajectory. It just barely shot over the new arrival's head.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!! You startled me!! Are you okay?!"
