Today is Bill Paxton's birthday, and it has reminded me that his is the one celebrity death I've never really moved passed. As a kid, I thought it was so cool that I shared the same hometown as someone so badass. To this day, if I drive by Arlington Heights High School, and someone is in the car with me, I go on and on about how Bill fucking Paxton graduated there. That's usually followed up with, "how cool is that?" and "I can't beieve I grew up 15 minutes from where BIll Paxon did!" Stuff like that. ⁠

⁠I've never been big on state pride or any of that, but I'd be liar if I said Bill Paxton didn't make me proud to be a Texan. Shit, not just a Texan, but from Fort Worth. I'll never stop missing him. ⁠

I thought about just writing something up abou the increidble films he's done, and what an amazing acor he was, but y'all already know all that. So, apologies for the sappy story and we'll get back on track tomorrow. ⁠
