        Akira placed his hand out as he started to feel the drizzle fall on top of his head. ❝ It seems it’s going to pour soon.. ❞ A sigh as he removed his glasses, no point in wearing them when they were going to get all wet. He felt more guilty he didn’t bring an umbrella because of Ann. Thinking on his feet he removed his jacket and placed it on her shoulders, earning a warm smile from her features.

   ❝ Sorry, it’s not much... but it seems we're going to get drenched waiting for the train. ❞ Ann gave him no problems and complied. It was almost as if she was happy about getting caught in the storm. Akira took hold of her hand, having her close by.. not expecting the response.  A harsh tug before he was pulled a bit lower to her level. ❝ Wha.. ❞

Their lips were dangerously close to one another, breath intertwined before she closed the gap with a kiss. It was truly unexpected, but eyes closed and the rain began to pour. Their hair was drenched by the time they departed.. Akira could only gulp in response. ❝ Ahh.. soo.. um.. the train.. it’s.. coming now.. ❞

        not being recognized by the general public was difficult to get used to-- difficult &. more unsettling than he would’ve imagined. the public’s opinion was always fickle, he knew that better than everyone, but completely forgetting his face ? now that was an outcome the ( now ex ) detective wouldn’t have been able to predict, if he had tried. neither was the outcome of coming face to face with one of the thieves. especially coupling with the fact that he’d been avoiding any possible contact with them.

Akira blinked a few times, staring at Ann with a look of bewilderment on his face. How could it be that she was always able to see right through him? She was one of the only ones that could take off his mask and reveal what he was really thinking. Averting his eyes from her, he stared down at the ground in thought, a slight frown working its way on his face. 

“It’s my job as our leader to watch after all of you. Even if there is something on my mind, you don’t have to worry about it. I’ll manage to make it through as I always do. But…” He smiled sadly before turning to her again. “I do appreciate you caring and being able to see the real me. When I’m ready to talk more about it, you’ll be the first one I discuss it with. Thank you.”
