KALEIDOSCOPE WORLD FOREVER MORE EDITION ! Ang Galing ng gumawa nito :) Kasama na ni Elmo si Francis M. Sa Kanta xD
“His legacy is mostly about the songs he wrote that are to do with our country and our culture. We always find a way for this to go on so the Filipino people will not forget what Francis M has done before.” In life and in death, Francis M's music lives on. #LegendsNeverDie
03+3+3 - a date to be remembered
March 6, 2009
i was startled when i heard the news from my brother that says, "Sir Francis "Kiko" Magalona is dead."
i was on my way to a meeting, i was in a jeepney and the moment that i've read the message that was sent to me by my brother, a tear ran down on my right cheek. i was not prepared for that sudden reflex from my right eye. i wiped it off and said "well he had contributed a lot.. a silent revolutionist that used his gift for writing and singing in influencing his fellow filipinos to be patriotic."
let's admit the fact that Sir Kiko, had influenced us with his music. he was not just an ordinary artist, he has done a lot in uplifting the spirit of patriotism from every Filipino, young and old, boys and girls, rich or poor, and regardless of the fact whether he or she is of a different race or culture.
he had shown his love for his fatherland not only through his songs but he even had his business named after the design of the philippine flag - 3 stars and a sun. all of his designs used the colors of the flag and the very trademark of his shirts is the three stars and a sun logo. his tattoos also shows how patriotic he was.
Sir Kiko had lived a very meaningful life, he had been a good father to his kids and a good husband to his wife, a great inspiration for all the aspiring rappers of his time and even the young ones that were born even after his music came out. he had inspired everybody through his awakening and nationalistic words, he had set a trend and made it shine among other fads that sprung from other countries, he defined good music through his masterpieces - his songs.
he will forever be remembered as "the man from manila" who made filipino music as his tool for letting everyone know how proud he was of his fatherland.
to Sir Francis "kiko" Magalona - you have lived a very fulfilling life.
R.I.P
this is a short poem that i made immediately after hearing about his death.
"we are two different people
sprung form two totally separated world.
Lived from across the universe.
divided by a vast body of water.
and nurtured by two parallel earth.
you don't know me.
i so know you.
you didn't care.
i was so concerned.
you are an icon.
i am just a fan.
contrasted by two different environments.
but raised by one culture.
you are proud of your heritage,
i am too -
-probably the very thing that we have in common.
but could it be the reason why -
-i cried when you died?"
