There can be no negotiating with Nazis. Republicans, Socialists and Anti Fascists will never allow a platform for traitors. Whether it is in Enniskillen, Belfast, Dublin or any other part of Ireland, when Republicans decide to engage you there will only ever be one outcome. Learn your lesson. Militant Anti Fascism will always win. Stay home. Did Frank Ryan also negotiate with the Nazis a little bit? Yeah. Do I want to get into that Right Fucking Now? No, I've got breakfast to cook and stuff to do. But anyhow, I do have thoughts on that. Because it's kind of a clusterfuck of...Well the IRA was at war with the Brits (should they have been at that point, whole different kettle of yeah that's complicated and I've got shit to do that matters more than talking about Ireland in the 1940s) and the enemy of your enemy is your friend or at least a useful idiot since Frank was definitely a committed Antifascist, the idea that he'd actually have done anything to help the Nazis invade or otherwise draw Ireland into the conflict just doesn't track. Did agreeing to work with the Abwehr get him out of a Francoist jail cell and a visit with the firing squad? Yeah. Once out did he provide anything useful to the Nazis? I've done some reading on the issue, and as far as I can tell...no, not really...'
