Hi there. I know nothing about web extensions, but if you've created an internet archive account you can use the save page, specifically, to select a bunch of extra options when archiving a link, including the ability to "Save also in my web archive" for an easy way to find things that you've worked on, again. If that doesn't make sense, feel free to message me and ask me to explain better. As for outlinks saving hit or miss style, that is par for the course and I don't think you'll find a solution for it, sadly.

Instead, you could try getting your hands on a Reddit Downloader from GitHub, download your Reddit sub or thread or whatever, and then upload it to the internet archive yourself as a backup.
