Drive
for Keanelle
Frank’s first thought as he passed the wreckage was not again. Then, guilt overcame him, and he pulled the van on to the shoulder and jerked to a stop. The sedan’s bumper was crumpled, windshield shattered, and he dreaded what he would find. Was he cursed to witness the last moments of every stranger’s life?
Or maybe it was a gift. He found people, they got an ambulance. He’d decide once he knew whether or not the driver of this car lived.
“Hey!” he called, hopping out of his van. “Hey, are you okay? I’m coming!”
No one answered, and he jogged over, bracing himself for a horror.
Instead, he saw nothing. No one was in the driver’s seat. No blood on the upholstery, no nothing.
“Hello?” he called again. It was so early, there was no one for miles. Maybe the driver had already been found, and no one had taken care of the car yet?
“Hello?” a woman’s voice called. He snapped up, searching for the source of the sound.
“Where are you?” He ran around the car and there she was, face pale, crumpled on the ground and half-hidden by a black suitcase.
“Over here,” she said.
“What happened?” But then, he sucked in a breath. The top half of her looked fine, if a bit shaken up, but her leg was bent at a horrible angle. “Shit.”
She smiled at him, a waxy, miserable look. “My phone got crushed. Could you call an ambulance?”
“Right!” He fumbled with his phone, cursing himself for not doing that immediately. “I’m Frank, by the way.”
She licked her lips, then shifted her leg and winced. “Nice to meet you, Frank.”
He was about to ask what her name was when the operator answered, and as he opened his mouth to explain the situation, he thought he saw the woman sigh in relief.

@still-searching47 Shall We Dance: How are things with you two? Have you been on holiday together? You know if you go to like a resort they often have dancing in the evenings. Would you dance on holiday or is it only something you do in private? (this was from an ask from several months ago)
Belle and Frank go on a holiday together...alone.
Note: A sequel to Shall We Dance, so you may want to read that one first. Not beta-ed, expect loads of mistakes. Also, I’m lazy today, so I’m just posting it on A03; you’ll have to go to the link above if you want to read it.
Frank/Belle (Marylin Hotchkiss movie) would you write for that? Do you think the Anyelle community is lacking in Frankelle stories?
I’ll answer your second question first with YES. I think Frank is so sweet and that he’d be a nice pairing for Belle. If I were to write it, I think I’d write Belle as also a widower or shortly after her mother’s death and make it some kind of coffee shop-esque AU where she works there or they meet there. Maybe Frank makes bread or baked goods for the coffee shop, but also with ballroom dancing and the sex on the table where he was kneading the dough because that’s the best part. ;)
Send me an ask about whether I’ve written a thing
