Lachlan didn’t stop on his way into the meeting when he saw Belle crying in the front seat of her car. Why would he? He was friends with her dad, not her, and she wouldn’t want him putting his foot in his mouth in an attempt to comfort her. He would do right by her by asking Moe if she was okay, and that was that.

But what if Moe was why she was crying? Lachlan froze halfway down the hall, licking his lips. What if she needed a shoulder to cry on about her father, and he had just rudely ignored her?

Or what if she wanted privacy and he’d done exactly the right thing? 

He glanced toward the door. The meeting started in a few minutes and he didn’t want to be late, but was being late worse than leaving Belle alone and sad? 

A woman he recognized walked down, and before he could change his mind, he blocked her way.

“Hi, Lachlan.”

“Hey,” he said, wishing he remembered her name. “I’m gonna be a few minutes late, but I’m here. Can you let Moe know?”

She smiled. “Sure. See you inside.”

He nodded, let her pass, and then, after another half-minute of waffling, jogged outside to comfort Belle.

A little of chelles backstory

Lachelle was once a lost soul in heaven with no real memeories of her own life, that is until chuck needed a way to slow down the winchesters. chuck wiped all her memories of heaven and the broken memories of her life lived previously then planted fake ones into her head before giving her a gift and sending her to them.

what chuck had gifted chelle effectively gave her the powers and abilities of his angels without any of their weakness or short comings. The other supernatural beings have annoyingly titled her and her kind as the anointed, only problem is he has trouble keeping her in line unlike the others of her kind which for him proves harder than it sounds.

Introducing Lachelle Michaels - today is my book’s launch day, and to celebrate, I’m spending the day cosplaying as her! The second pic is from a piccrew and most accurately represents how she looks, since I didn’t want to cut all my hair off.

She’s a soldier from the Hexagon who runs across Kenton and has her concept of truth seriously challenged. Her best friend is a bubbly redhead who is ready to follow her into whatever danger Lachelle might find herself in.

A more minor character, she still has several cool action scenes sprinkled throughout the latter half of the book, and it was really fun writing her interactions with the main characters.

How about "free fallin" in the fandom of your choosing in honour of the late Tom Petty.

OH MY GOD. I have been listening to this and other Tom Petty songs all day long. And it gave me so many Lachelle or Lachacey feels. So something with Lachlan and Belle or Lacey, they’ve just broken up (because Lachlan can be kind of a shithead) and then as in the events of the movie, Lachlan gets his DUI and finds out he’s going to be deported and never see his daughter again. At the last second, hoping to save his own arse, he blurts out that he has a fiance. The only problem is now he has to convince Belle/Lacey to actually be his fiance.
