We’re Not in Kansas Anymore
It had started out as a normal flight. Sephiroth had been determined old enough (and responsible enough) to pilot a gummi ship on his own and this trip was no different. Or at least it had started out being no different. An hour into the flight that all changed.
When his instruments had begun to act up, his ship’s flight turning erratic, Sephiroth had chosen to turn around and go back home. No flight was worth getting caught too far from home to do anything about it. Perhaps some bug had gotten a hold of the systems that he had missed in the pre-flight diagnostics. He’d have to have the ship looked at when he got back.
Descending back to Radiant Garden had a very different landscape spread before him. A half built city crouched among broken ruins covered in snow. Forcing his ship to land where others seemed to be docked, he shut the engine off and stepped out through the now open hatch.
Where was he? This wasn’t the Radiant Garden he knew.
