Okay... but the vitriolic hatred present throughout so much of tumblr towards people who are cis/het/able-bodied (I didn't even think about that one but yeah that too)/neuro-typical/white/etc etc etc etc when contrasted with the 'treat people equally regardless of their gender/sexuality' messages is what I was particularly getting at. I understand being frustrated with things- hell, I've been frustrated with the patriarchy more than once as a female. But what I don't understand is that these hateful messages are totally fine while if I dare speak a word in the other direction, I'm a terrible human being and should die. The dichotomy is what's frustrating and it feels hypocritical and there's a problem if even someone like me, who makes a concerted effort to learn all I can about this kind of stuff, finds it hard to even go looking for information because I know I'll be battered with hateful message about something i can't control.

Do what you need to do hon. We are specifically commanded NOT to Do anything that will negatively effect our health. And i’m preety sure you would be welcome at most shuls whenever you like. They don’t say No to /most/ participating in services.

lol, well if not eating something not kosher would make you starve/be harmfull to your health, you are SUPOSED to just eat the non-kosher thing because your life is what is most important. So vampire lady would be fine. That sounds fab though.

Yeah. But she was one of those people who was raised Christian who carry over a lot of issues with rulebreaking with them.

Humans are mammals and we don’t chew our cud so we are not kosher? It’s pretty simple. I was that little shit in hebrew school asking if mermaids were kosher so yeah…

It was a Christian dude.

But it's funny as fuck.

Cuz I wrote a fic back in, like, 9th grade, about a Welsh vampire named Myfanwy who had converted to Judaism sometime in the fifteen-hundreds and tried her hardest to keep kosher even though it was pretty impossible. So I was the same little shit.

(She was also, predictably, bi and poly. Because Bis can't write het peeps.)
