I’m very proud and excited for Jim. This is Frankie Moreno’s 4th gold record. Welcome To The Symphony. That’s over 500,000 records sold! Jim’s on all four albums and tonight he was given his own gold record. Look at that smile! I’m so happy for Frankie and the band. #frankiemoreno @jimdarrigo #welcometothesymphony https://www.instagram.com/p/B80f9QblUoC/?igshid=3fqln24v7clb

Nice job Stratosphere headliner Frankie Moreno!
Las Vegas partnered with Southwest Airlines to host a surprise "Live at 35" concert on board flight 4305 (Dallas to Las Vegas) with Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower headliner, Frankie Moreno in honor of the end of the Wright Amendment. Moreno along with two of his bandmates performed two songs, and gave away complimentary tickets to his hit show, “Frankie Moreno LIVE!” at the Stratosphere. The surprise and impromptu concert delighted passengers as they made their way to “The Entertainment Capital of the World.” Upon arrival at McCarran International Airport, Southwest passengers were greeted by adoring Las Vegas showgirls.
The Wright Amendment ended on Monday, October 13, 2014 after 35 years of not allowing Southwest to fly outside the surrounding states of Texas from Dallas. The Wright Amendment was put into place in 1979 to really protect the other large airport in North Texas (DFW). Prior to 1979, Southwest only flew within Texas, expanding in 1979 by flying to its first non-Texas city- New Orleans. Instead Southwest thrived and carries more than 100 million people annually, and now Dallas will have nonstop flights to 15 new cities in addition to the 16 it already serves. The new flights include destinations like Las Vegas, Chicago, and Denver just to name a few. Las Vegas is one of the first cities. Las Vegas is one of Southwest Airlines busiest airports, average just over 200 daily departures to 58 cities. Southwest also employs more than 3,000 People at the airport.
