Franklin Park Conservatory | Live Sketching | Columbus, Ohio I didn't until recently really look up where this place was, I kind of always assumed it was far off and not easily accessible by public transport. Well, I discovered it isn't and so I went to the park today. I spent the entire day watching butterflies and talking to flowers, doing quick sketches and walking all around the park grounds. This was a good, quiet and content day. Also, I have the survived the day on morning cereal, a mug of tea, a granola bar and cheddar jalapeño biscuits. There are a-lot moments when you realize your kids grow up so fast. This was one of them for me, when I let him out of the stroller to let him be my scale model for a building. I see the simple joy of wonder and exploration all over you as you can’t say still. Happy 2nd birthday our dude. We attended the most beautiful wedding this weekend! The bride designed a classic garden-party reception, including full-blown peonies (one of my all-time favorites) in simple jar vases, rose-petal-strewn aisles, vintage candlesticks, filling the historic Palm House of the Franklin Park Conservatory ( @fpconservatory ) in Columbus, Ohio. The whole conservatory is stunning, but it was the oldest, original building that we got to enjoy, all to ourselves, that was my favorite. Scroll through the pictures to see some of the highlights.
