Another one from my own shelf today! One of the most fun things about reading with kids is discovering new things together. As a comic book fan (and obviously a fan of picture books), I know the incredible appeal of a heavily graphic storytelling format. So I absolutely love TOON Books' comic-style picture books for young kids. And given my fondness for artist Frank Viva's kid's books, it's no wonder that one of my favourites is his "A Trip To The Bottom Of The World With Mouse" (2012). 🚢🚢🚢 With Viva's signature simple but striking artwork and minimal (but cleverly funny) text, this adventure story, told in panels like a comic, is a great way to appeal to book-wary little ones.
