Finished my IEYTD OC lineup just in time for Artfight! I've got a few more other ocs tbh but I'm good with getting art of these guys the most :]
I'm on Team Stardust! I can't promise everyone revenges and all, as I'll be a bit slow and chill with it this year.
Random doodles from the past few weeks/days :] mostly oc stuff, since I'm getting some ideas for the story they're in...
Also thinking of updating Schaden's look a little bit! Giving them some fat, as a treat :D I wanted to make them visually stand out a bit more in this lineup of guys.
I've got plans to add them to my Artfight roster this year, but. I don't have high hopes of finding the time to, so my previous colored stuff might work for now. I've also got two other characters I haven't fully introduced here and I haven't fleshed out yet.
Question for Agent 9:
Do you have prosthetic arms around so you can use your arms instead of your eye? Or do you have to use your eye all the time? I'm just curious.
At one point, 9 did consider getting prosthetic arms, after all it would benefit her a *lot*. Unfortunately she quickly realized it wouldn't have been a financially stable option in the long run, considering how little the Agency's paying her, AND they wouldn't even answer for the additional fees if she had those prosthetics. She has resigned to practicing her eye-TK. Poses some problems but she knows how to cover her bases with how much she practices.
Out of character explanation, I wanted to have a character that works around their disabilities without the use of prosthetics. I've done that for some of my ieytd canon character interps, but this time i wanted a different approach :3
PLEASEEEEE tell me about your ocs,,,,,anything you want,,,as much as you'd like I'm captivated by them
@enhanced-operatives-division
HEHE YAYYYYY alright it is oc time >:] I'll go with random tidbits for the each of them
Mina loves the Hannah-Barbera cartoons, so much so that she learned how to draw animal characters in their style. She sucks at drawing humans... so when she started collecting notes on people she'd assign them an animal and draw them as such. Fursonas for me and you...
Dr. Schaden and Agent Starling knew each other since childhood! It's actually been their childhood promise that they'd become one another's rivals. They're extremely close with one another and they also gave each other their codenames.
Mamba has annoyed Fabricator to experiment on them so their fangs could actually have venom in them. They have yet to fully convince fabby this is a worthwhile cause. In fact, they're a very enthusiastic volunteer test subject in Zoraxis but no one wants to work with them because. They're a bit too unpredictable.
Marshall mastered the art of using TK with her eye, but she only ever uses it when her eyesight isn't needed to multitask. There's a lot of pitfalls to having your eyesight be the one to control objects, as she can't really look/focus at anything else and she'd have to rely on her other senses. It's why she enjoys using her legs to move stuff/kick ass a bit more. She's very nimble.
i’m not sure What exactly to ask but feel free to use this ask to say anything about mina or marshall!
HEHE all good! thanks for the ask :] I did say some stuff about mina n marshall in a previous ask, so for this I kinda want to delve into their lil dynamic :]
Despite them having a mutual person to connect them together (Starling), they actually had a hard time working together once Starling was out of commission. He gave Mina his earpiece so Marshall could help her while he's gone/kidnapped/whatever. In my mind Mina's basically the Phoenix in the games, solving lil puzzles and whatnot, and Marshall's the Handler.
Marshall ... tries her best to be cooperative, but she ends up kinda distant and snippy. Mina doesn't like being treated like a kid, and worse yet, a spoiled brat - so they have a bunch of moments where Mina just does whatever she thinks is best without listening to Marshall ... it just makes Marshall more frustrated, but she has to keep Mina safe. She still views her as this meddling kid who doesn't know what she's in for, while Mina's already fighting the guilt she has over getting Starling in serious trouble (it's not all her fault. but she wants to help so bad)
They eventually do find a good rhythm to cooperate with one another, especially when Marshall goes out into the field herself. The more they work together the more respect they put on each other, and they apologize over having wildly different first impressions: Mina proves she's capable of handling dangerous situations, and Marshall proves she's only really trying to keep everyone safe. It's only when they become good friends that Mina admits she calls Marshall Meerkat in her notes. She shows her the fursona she made for her. Marshall likes it.
From your old Marshall drawings, it seems to have lost one arm first, and then the other. Are we allowed to know what specifically happened? Obviously some sort of field incident, but of what nature?
Even older Marshall drawings have both of its arms intact (Plus a Very different personality), it's also a progression of the character making process I do sometimes :3c
The thing is ..... I would give you an answer if I had one ready. but.... I Do Not DSKJGHFD All I know is that Marshall lost its arms and its eye in three separate incidents. Probably a lot of explosions that made it hard to salvage what's left. It's a little rough for it out there.
You did get me thinking though ... the first incident must've been rookie's first accident. The second and third might have been more of a deliberate choice of risking fatal injuries for the sake of saving someone in the process. Safe to say it succeeded in doing so.
Do you have any sort of hypothetical 'bad end' for any of your OCs? A future for them that leads to tragedy, despite their attempts? Not that it needs to be 'bad' morally mind you. Mamba is a villain, so their bad end would probably spell good for the Agency, and et cetera
It's definitely not something I think about a lot, nope! But this did make me think about the possible bad endings these characters could get.
