Frau/Teito picture that took me like 2 years to finish (I finished it this year). This was one of the last pictures I created using SAI, now I’ve been using CSP.

Where are my fellow 07 Ghost fans and Frauteit shippers at? XD

I didn’t mean to avoid this for so long

i just cant ever seem to find the right words to describe it

so i started and stop and erase what i wrote and i just cant explain it right

so i give up

i will just give you what little I have

Teito and Frau had feelings for each other by the end but they had never said anything and had never acted on it

so it starts at the end of the manga

with Teito growing up with no memories

So my idea is that Frau is invisible to everyone. No one can see him until they are ready to die. So his visibility is not something he can control. The Chief of Heaven made sure NOT to give Frau Verloren’s touch-someone-and-they-die power because that was what ruined everything in the first place with Eve’s death. 

so after Teito is born, Frau decides to go check up on him. Only to find that Teito can see him. At first he panics and is quickly checking through the book to make sure that Teito was not scheduled to die. but nope. Teito is supposed to live a very long life. 

so Frau keeps checking up on Teito and gets a lot of pleasure out of interacting with the kid since he cant interact with anyone else

and for a while everyone thinks that Teito has an imaginary friend until one day he mentions the name of this friend

so Teito gets a harmless little-kid crush on Frau and just lots of the classic “we r gonna get married” naive kids dreams that are so cute

and then he gets over his crush

gets older

eventually he starts to ask questions like “why can’t anyone else see Frau?” and other stuff like that

Frau, and all of the other adults that Teito asks, try to explain it to him without mentioning Teito’s first life

they all saw Teito not having memories as a blessing and were not willing to explain everything that he went through in his first life

around teenage years, Teito starts to develop another crush on Frau but this one is not as harmless 

and this time. its not going away. 

and this is where i cant just figure out how to describe anymore

the basic idea is that Teito eventually regains his memories after a certain point. Like when he turns 18 or something. (or maybe something else triggers the memories??) 

and stuff happens and eventually they get together and Teito grows old and dies

and Frau doesn’t age at all

and then Teito is AGAIN reborn as a human and its a never ending cycle 

its was kind of the Chief of Heaven’s “gift” to Frau (or maybe its a gift to Teito? OR MAYBE it has something to do with Teito’s wish. [we never did get to find out what exactly Teito wished for and i am so annoyed by that])

but ANYWAY

since Frau is permanently stuck as Verloren’s replacement, Teito is continually being reborn as a human so he can keep Frau company

instead of being reborn as a plant or an animal like he is supposed to be doing
