Hey ya'll if you make costumes or sew, Fray Check is a thing and its super helpful to keep fabric from fraying. I totally recommend it for emergency repairs or just a little peace of mind to keep edges from falling apart or to keep knots from untying. https://www.amazon.com/Dritz-1674-Liquid-Sealant-0-75-Ounce/dp/B000YQKIDY
Spoilers: fray check works, and the scent goes away after a washing. And this is through a washing machine. (I don't think official doll clothes would survive a washing, even in the prescribed cold water.) Will the smell go away after a hand washing with Woolite? Probably. It's an almost floral scent. And I need to wash anyways to get markings out (though I've been thinking about how to use tailor's tacks instead). Also: win for doll clothing, since without fray check the unraveling of most fabric is a matter of short, short time.
Are you ever just so tired
of hemming circles that you use superglue as fray check?
No one is gonna fucking notice if I skip a step, and if they're gonna pick on me for it fuck them lol
