The Legend Herself

Morrigan was certain her mother knew where she was. The woman was practically a mystery, even to herself. And with a baby on the way soon, the last thing she needed was her mother to swoop in and ruin everything. And yet...there she was.
The witch had been travelling through a wooded area, and caught sight of her mother in a clearing not far from where she was. And Morrigan knew she was there because of herself. Watching from a tree, she wondered if Flemeth knew she was right there.
"Of course, it had to be today of all days." she mumbled to herself, continuing to watch and wait for the other's next movement.

He never thought of it as simply anything other than ‘have’, but it was in reality compulsion. The exact same kind that the former Warden thought he was above and yet the reality of the situation was he wasn’t.

❝ Well…so much for peaceful negotiations… ❞
Their final moments echo, panic simmers in the blood spilled across the floor. He takes care stepping around it, but cannot ignore how their enemy’s fear chills the air. “It was never going to end peacefully,” he says, straining to keep the bitter edge from his words. “Not so long as their hearts were set against us. Could you not feel it?”
What had lurked at Mythal’s side was no elf, no wolf, not even a god. It was a beast with too many eyes for comfort, which pour red mist, with a mouth agape and hungering for something too terrible to comprehend. Fen’Harel brushes his cheeks, feeling not fur but soft skin, and one pair of eyes– grey, not red.
“There will be more blood spilled before this is over,” he sighs, hand dropping heavy to his side. His eyes sweep the room, across the lifeless faces of their kin, and the god’s blood that marked them. “Some fought on the behest of another. Before we leave, I would see their remains are given their due respect.”
“It is the least we can do, for our part in this.”
What is Solas' greatest weakness, and is he aware of it? If yes, does he actively do anything to keep that perceived flaw in check?
I generally think Solas is more aware of his flaws than most people give him credit for.
A lot of people call him hypocritical for criticising Blackwall for lying about his identity, or once I saw someone criticising him for accusing a low approval Inquisitor for gathering minions and not allies– the former I credit him with awareness for the hypocrisy, and his anger in part stemming from what they have in common (also he later apologises). The latter… well, I just think they’re kinda wrong, and that Solas does care for his agents, hence why if there’s one thing that gets him angry in banter it’s when other companions try to justify oppression. But I could write a whole post on how I think people somehow vastly underestimate Solas’s commitment to the Elvhen he fought for as Fen’Harel. Basically people seem to think Solas has no self-reflection skills, which I disagree with– but it’s complicated.

“I was under the impression that you were supposed to be attending to petitioners.”
The curtain that separates them opens with a thought, and he enters with one finger curled around a lock of red hair. “Fortunately for you they are still muddling through the trials. I doubt they shall be ready to present their hearts to you anytime in the near future.”
