He’d have better luck going home and frying up the kidneys of the Eddowes woman.

         Picking the handmade label off the box that the pie came in, she crumbled it up and tossed it into the nearest wastebasket in the room.   “  Had you heard the word on the streets, you would have saved yourself from the assault on your taste-buds.  ”   her lip curled into a smirk as a chuckle escaped her throat and her gaze shifted to the man that was clearly not amused.   “  And your wallet.  ”
