Casual watcher here, and avid stalker of Rollisi fan accounts but no one has been talking about this and I wanted to add my two cents because why not
I’ve been rewatching the break-in/hostage scene from Career Psychopath over and over like I was reciting a bible before bed and here are my observations.
I loved that you can tell Sonny was terrified at first and Amanda held it down(or was able to mask her fear) until the man addressed both of them by their names and knew who they were and you can see how terrified Amanda became (probably had the realization that this indeed is, a targeted attack, i also feel like she’s so protective of this aspect of her life, my headcanon is that her and carisi deliberately keep everything on the low to prevent events like this.. i also use this as an excuse for the lack of family pictures on their desk but it makes sense.. if theyre dealing w perpetrators on the daily who have done the most inhumane things w/o care).
Even with a knife to his mother freaking throat Sonny was consoling her bro. I’m weak, like i’m so weak. She didn’t drop the gun until Carisi comforted her. She didn’t grab the rope until Carisi nudged her to.
We all know that girl listens to no one but I think it shows testament as to how much she trust him, loves him, and in that moment he grounded her a bit because I feel like i’ve never seen Rollins so speechless since the deli, and even then she was still being our typical amanda yk. Even in their state of fear he’s able to come through and just put her first to try and ease her because she’s in that predicament like are you kidding !?!?!?
Also loved showcasing their silent conversation before Carisi went and attacked the man + another one when they heard tynan (this one made me giggle).
Additional thoughts
- loved the scene of them at the food room or wtv its called. I was proud of her for saying that she appreciates his two cents when old Amanda wouldve told him to stfu after that eye roll and to hop off her d*ck.
- plus that lingering hand on him. Thats #herman yall. Their chemistry in that scene was off the charts. I was like this is #hot. (Prob an underrated fav scene from that ep)
- their apt literally has two picture frames side by side 😭. For every picture u see theres always an identical one next to it showcased throughout their entire house. In my headcanon that was Amanda bc her interior design taste is questionable from what we’ve seen (love u girl but erm.. #yeah that fuckass couch for example.. love their room now though, its very them!)
- to make light of their break in, her bra being under her bed is so real but also, in my headcanon, it got there because they were recreating Mrs. Officer by Lil Wayne #freakbobsaf
I rlly only watch for them so I wish there was more rollisi but this szn has been rolivia heavy so i’m not shocked that it was more of a Rollins/Rolivia ep. I’m not mad at it either, i’m just a bit and a very bit annoyed at this ‘Saint Liv’👼 arc they have going on. I love complex characters, let the woman make some mistakes as captain of the ship. Let the lady scream at everyone like cmon but anyways, someone freak out w me pls & thx. I’m also stalking all of u on twt so i’d happily read and freak out abt this from afar🤗.
