JERMA ONE PRETTY PLEASE ANDD OR A BINGO EDIT :33
for you, friend
the amount of barely veiled female p*dos online, who not just do the slash thing, but with characters disturbingly young. like how popular that stranger things and that IT movie got, at first seeming like it was just about the sci fi and stephen king clown horror but then you realize the internet fandom’s extent and...their weird fixation with that one boy actor and...... this was always a fandom problem but their creepiness has gotten Worse somehow tbh.
maybe because now, when people criticize the concept of liking this stuff and participating in this side of internet fandom as “creepy straight women slashfans,” they defend themselves as being ALSO bi, for some reason lesbian (lying? or just into the cover lifestyle of dating adult women but also a pedo indiscriminately?) and occasionally some trans and genderqueer folks depressingly. like.....as if that was ever the point, your identity! then they can call themselves victimized homophobically for their self expression, when really, it’s about the p*do shit. what the fuck is “r/*/eddie” and why do you need to be into that as a 20-30 something grown woman? seriously disturbing. like. this is Different from other fandom things like fanfiction, and “shipping” as a phenomenon, and just........they all get lumped in together. and it’s weird. it’s so weird how does this happen. the entire corner of fandom that this is is basically just written romances of these characters, but worse than if it were just sexual writing, because the women are really into the psychology of these like, 13 y/o boys, im actually disturbed. this was one thing when it was teenage girls reading and writing about teenage boys. if you’re an adult writing about adults then it’s one thing but the ages of characters (and therefore actors) these ppl are participating with media about? calling it “fandom” but let’s be real it’s so something else...................................
really noticing this the older i get because these people also get older and they used to be teenage girl geeks into teenage boys on stupid tv shows, but now something is just wrong with them tbqh...because they still stay the same and into scary shit like this. the same phenomenon with teenage boy geeks being into anime, then continuing to just...stay this way. getting worse with their passing years, actually. not growing, growing more unhealthy. god.
just like. everyone noticed it and made fun of it but it seems especially bad now.
