Raising Hell - DARK ANGEL fanvid by Freckled Dragon

I feel like I have to throw in an epic piece every once in a while so I can pretend this isn't just a shipping blog. Fortunately there are many vid makers who take advantage of Farscape's amazing visuals, and this one by freckleddragon on YouTube, though showing its age around the lower res edges, delivers the mood.
The song is Adiemus, from Welsh composer Fred Jenkins, and it's just haunting and lovely and lets us focus on the amazing visuals.
I had a different video in mind for today, but between the events of last week and being away from home at the moment because of a tragic and unfair death in my extended family, I was drawn to this brief moody piece instead.
The music is an instrumental called The Mother of All Battles by Immediate Music, and as mentioned, it's short. So if you like, watch this video over on YouTube and you might get treated to random other Farscape videos to take the taste of bitterness from your mouth. (No guarantees though, maybe that just happened to me because I watch so many Farscape videos.)
As the title indicates, this is an immaculately edited compilation of dark moments from the show. The rage, terror, grief that our crew feels are raw, but it's probably my favorite aspect of the show, that they would go grim and terrible, without necessarily going graphic or reveling in the pain in the style of modern shock drama.
Farscape really dealt with darkness in a unique way. Humor or at least absurdity in some of the most disturbing scenes. Cathartic weeping at trauma, rather than stoicism. Showing us the grim reality and just letting our characters sit with it in silence and ending an episode on the unrelenting pain, with no attempt to wrap it up in a bow or make it better for us. Maybe it made for uncomfortable viewing, but I appreciate the honesty of it.
This is just a little teaser of a video, it's not meant to bring anyone down. These scenes are often amazing acting or dramatic visuals is nothing else. But a little pain by proxy feels helpful for me just at the moment, so that's what I feel like sharing.
Don't forget to leave a like or a comment for Freckled Dragon. It's been 14 years, but they might still be around to enjoy it. I know I still love getting the (very) occasional comment on my old works.
[ Freckled Dragon ] - The Freckled Dragon is a small, cunning breed known for their obsessive hoarding habits. Males and females are visually identical, but one can tell the difference between genders depending on what they collect—males only collect green-colored items, while females only collect red-colored items. Though their wings are too small to sustain flight, these dragons can glide for a short distance. Instead of flying, freckled dragons travel by running at swift speeds for long distances. They are typically docile, but can become violent if their treasure is threatened.
