how did you do your freckles for marco?
I bought a Snazaroo paint set during Halloween (on sale!), which is similar to Ben Nye, but it's significantly cheaper. I chose the "boys set" because it had more neutral colors (brown, black, green).
Snazaroo paints are water-activated, so I mix the brown and orange on a palette with some water. Since I'm pretty light-skinned, orange-brown is a good color for freckles for me. Freckles are usually a few shades darker than your skin tone, but not too much! Going too dark for your skin tone can make them look artificial or a little bit jarring!
Using a small, pointed paintbrush, I make small dots on my face concentrated around my cheeks and my nose, becoming less concentrated the further from the apples of my cheeks and the bridge of my nose they go. Freckles are not all evenly spaced or sized, so I made some of them closer together, some bigger, some smaller, etc. Reference photos are your friends! Some are also not perfect dots, so I press the paintbrush a little bit more to get a different shape in some places.
Finally, for Snazaroo paints, you need to apply a makeup setting spray to keep it from smudging or coming off with sweat or any other water source. The great part about these paints is that to get them off, you just need to take a shower! No heavy scrubbing, they just wash off with water and a little bit of rubbing.
Aaaaaand that's how I do freckles! :)
