That day at the reactor had gone from 0-100 in almost the blink of an eye. Saints ambushed the place, nothing they couldn’t handle, but it was still a messy fight. Sure, Vi got hit, but she didn’t think others got it any worse.

Until she found the weapons mantainence guy getting himself patched up. 

“Christ, were you on the front lines?” she asked, disappearing for a moment to get her first aid kit from her room “How bad did they get you?” she asked

Nathaniel nodded. “I’ll get everything set up in a few minutes” after saying that he left to the garage, getting one of the black cars with tinted windows. He always thought that looked way more suspicious than driving one of the black and neon blue cars, mostly because people were more curious for that kind of cars. He parked it just outside, and went back to get Miller. “The car is waiting for us outside…”

Matt seemed momentarily lost in though, which didn’t seem much of an issue; he hardly noticed when the other left to fetch a vehicle. Althoug he was quickly snapped out of this trance whenever his soldier spoke once again.

“ Always be sure you carry an extra clip of bullets on you, best to be safe mate. “

He took residence in the passenger seat of the car, not saying much else to avoid awkward confrontation.

“Will do, wouldn’t miss the opportunity to shoot at something that isn’t bullseyes at the range” He grinned back at Miller.

He looked a little apprehensive at the mentioning of shooting. Knowing all too well himself wielding a gun would not result well. The recoiling of shooting the damn thing would make him drop it immediately.

Not that anyone had to know that bit, it was no one else’s concern after all.

“ You start shift at midnight sharp, you are relieved at six. I don’t expect you to come into work tomorrow. That is unless you are just that bent on finishing your work on these dull blades. “
