Prince Matthew was a very stuck up person. He was simply born into the right family, it seemed, because he adored being pampered more than anything else. If it was luxurious, he wanted it.
He also had quite a knack for electronics, and while he was never known for being kind to the servants he couldn’t keep his hands off a troublesome item.
The servant’s name was Lotus, and it seemed she was having trouble with her really old and shitty-looking cellphone.
“Is there a problem?” he asked, watching her mess with it in the hallway.
Lotus nearly jumped, then quickly smoothed her dress down. “N-no, sir, I was just trying to call my brother when the phone died. I just charged it this morning, though.”
Matt sighed a bit and held out his hand, to which Lotus--very carefully so as not to touch him--handed him the device. He immediately turned it over, popping off the back and messing with it a little. He must have been a magician in his past life, because when he handed it back it was booting up again. He let his fingers brush ever so gently against her palm, but made no comment about it.
“Oh, thank you,” she said, clearly trying to hide her sudden embarrassment at the touch.
“Not at all,” Matt said, shrugging it off and walking away. When he was sure she was gone he covered his mouth with a hand. Holy shit he actually touched her hand.
