Study Abroad [closed rp with Freckles-blog]
The first thing he had learned upon entering the country was that the documentation and the process took longer than a large cup of coffee. The second thing, it took longer to get through customs and hail a taxi than his phone battery lasted.

The thought of being able to have some fun overseas for a while was too good to pass up. He had already been confused as a student of Greek or Italian nationality. Perhaps some other southern country. He had to laugh a little before his voice gave him away.
The dean of the college had a laugh as well, having emailed him plenty before he came over.
He had arrived early, enough so that he could begin moving things in while his roommate was out at breakfast. Hopefully this roommate was a bit fun. The man was supposed to help him adjust to the cultural differences here.
Ja’far...
What a nice name.
