Do you have any separation from kitty friend advice? I just had to move out of a toxic environment and had to leave my cat there, and I can't get her for at least three months

I’d say it probably depends a little on your usual habits and routine with your cat - I go to sleep cuddling mine every night so when I first spent long periods of time away from him having some kind of soft toy to cuddle instead helped. Amazingly, I also managed to find a blanket that felt like his rather unique fur.

Unfortunately I can’t offer a whole lot more than that, other than to let yourself mourn and miss your pal. I dunno about you but to begin with for me I felt embarrassed about feeling so upset over not being with an animal friend and tried to pretend it wasn’t affecting me so much. Honestly, it worked better for me to actually accept how much I missed him and let it out.

Also, make sure to remind yourself you will be seeing your kitty again, and it might seem like an awfully long time now but once you’re back with them it’ll feel amazing. Also also - I avoided this method because I felt it would just make me miss him more, but you can get ambience recordings of a cat purring, if you think that may help you.

Hey, I have a question about lwl and stuff. I'm pansexual and personally I don't have a problem with the q word and often use it to describe myself and those I know are ok wth it. So, naturally when I see a relationship like Franny and Percy, I think of them as a q couple. But since a lot of people find that word offensive, do you know what to call them? Percy identifies as male, I know, but somehow it feels flat to call them a straight couple. What do?

i’m not trans so i can’t say on that front but i do identify as queer. they are in a heterosexual relationship but that doesn’t necessarily mean either of them is heterosexual or -- in percy’s case -- cis. their relationship doesn’t define their identities and classifying a relationship with a trans person differently because the person is trans feels weird to me, but i am not trans so my opinion doesn’t matter.
