I absolutely love this story! I’ve read it twice and listened to it… three times I think. The characters and story are completely immersive.
Follow a group of teenagers as they plan and execute a heist with hilarious and terrifying consequences. The way in which their maturity comes out is also brilliantly portrayed, as they go from being capable to incredible violence to incapable of serious conversation.
I found that the story was enhanced by the narrators (yes, there were quite a few). Each perspective has a different voice, so that not only are you looking at the world through their eyes, but you can hear them, and picture what they would look like through their voices.
I feel like I could go on about this forever, it’s that good. I enjoy listening to books I’ve read (and enjoyed) before so that I can see them in a new light, and the voices and characters here come together so, so well.
