It's the 'again' that gets me. She had tricked him - again. She keeps doing that. He keeps falling for it. By the end of the next two chapters she's gonna have the whole mission briefing at her disposal because poor Fred is struggling so mightily to dissuade her relentless inquisition and still failing spectacularly.
