Ain't That a Kick in the Head | Freddie
Needless to say, Pierce hadn't been expecting to be dragged along the corridors in pursuit of music that he had never heard of. Sure he was curious about it, he was always curious about everything, that's why he always seemed to end up in situations like this. He wasn't necessarily upset about the situation, at this point he was resigned to the fact that Freddie felt it her duty to show him this Dean Martin bloke, and he had a difficult time in disappointing people. And it helped that this was like reading for some people, he could listen to this multiple times, grab out the different meanings, and appreciate the words. That's the only thing he really liked about music. The rhymes, the meters. He knew other people probably ignored those parts in favor of an interesting musical arrangement, but the words are what always spoke to him the most when Nash was playing Merlin knew what, or his mother decided to try and liven up their large home.
"You know, if you're trying to kidnap me, I have practice Friday, someone'll notice." His attempt at a joke wasn't entirely a joke. He didn't actually know her that well, and as social as he thought he was, his people skills were not that brilliant, and while he thought he was very knowledgeable, people were hard to read. People were not like books, they were not easily read, nor easily interpreted. People changed with each flip of the page, and if someone wanted to reread them, they wouldn't be reading the same thing twice.
