Animation Idea 11

Theoretically if I did an animation for “Pity the child” from the 2025 revival of Chess, I would have it start with Freddie in his room watching a music box play.

One thing I hated in Chevival was taking the “64 Squares- they’re the reason you know they exist” line from Freddie and gave it to Molokov.

I also hated how they took out Talking Chess (as a sung piece- the ‘scene’ was still in it). I think it’s such an important song to define the Freddie and Anatoly relationship and contrasts ‘I Know Him So Well’. Freddie understands Chess, and so he understands Anatoly, even as much as he hates the other man being a communist.

Who knows Anatoly so well? FREDDIE.

What does Anatoly need? To win for *chess*.
