Telepathic Hero who's mind reading/mind control powers work at a limited range. Who effectively needs to be within 2 or 3 meters for powers to work.

My character, Frederick Blackstone, aka "Doctor Override", is stuck with that.

His power can bypass/crush most psychic defenses, including artificial ones, but outside his limited range he can't scan or control at all.

Leads to him needing to run everywhere to get into range, and risking his neck dodging gunfire.

"Canopic" Digital-Memories Jars. Synthetic brain tissue, plus some high-end computers, that can store telepathically-copied memories, and even upload the data via USB for proper digital storage. Fucking Expensive to produce, and they only store about 3 months worth of copied memory, BUT they make it so I don't have to keep some bastards war-crimes in my skull, so I am grateful for them.

Technically, he was not a licensed hero, but a Telepathic Agent and Interrogator working for the Terran Defence Alliance that got assigned to Hero Teams (he liked calling himself a hero though).

Emphasis on “Interrogator”.

In order to prevent Hacking, the Jars can only work for the Telepath they are assigned to, and can only upload data through wired USB

Initially thought to be the final words of Master Interigator Frederick Blackstone, the Savior of Countless, Slayer of Daemons, A Superhero, before overloading his psychic powers to slay the 9th Nightmare of The Highrealm King.

In doing so, he rendered himself comatose for 5 years. Initially assumed to be unrecoverable, an experimental cybernetic procedure rewakened him.
