RENT in Manila, 2011

Just came home from watching RENT with my cousin. It was absoultely amazing. We both loved it, and pretty much spent the whole ride home geeking about almost everything related to that show. <3 Also, it was the first time to watch the show, so that added to our excitement. The Manila cast certaintly did not disappoint us. They were amazing. When we first got to our seats, admittedly, my first concern was how seemingly small the stage is. Still, despite this, they were able to perform smoothly and maximized the space they were given. The performances were flawless, and the cast and staff certaintly did the show justice. I cannot stop saying this: It was simply amazing. /FILIPINO PRIDE MOMENT :'D After the show, we decided to test our luck a bit and wait a little while before leaving. Of course, a brilliant decision. Though we weren't able to meet the whole cast, we were able to meet those who played Mimi (Ciara Sotto) and Mark Cohen (Fredison Lo), and my cousin was lucky enough to get a picture with both of them (while my camera thought it would be fun to torture me and decided that no, it does not want to open when I most need it to, FUUU--). Fredison Lo. Dude, he's so cute and handsome in person. And so nice. We barely contained our flailing when we were able to meet him. As my thoughts were filled with "gdlnfudskuhfuikgvhbk-incoherency", I was only able to tell him, "You guys were really great! Amazing show!", in which he replied with a terribly cute smile and a, "Thank you! Thanks for watching the show!" My cousin, the luckier one whose camera worked and had the self-confidence which I lacked, was able to take a picture with him. And even during the ride home, we flailed over that picture.

SO YEAH, AWESOME DAY IS AWESOME. IT STARTED WITH GREAT PANCAKES AND HASN'T REALLY ENDED YET, BUT IT'S PRETTY SAFE TO SAY THAT IT'S BEEN REALLY GOOD. And I'm really, really thankful for this day -- and this whole long weekend, actually -- seeing as the previous days haven't been the best for me. AND NEXT WEEK, WE HAVE A CON TO GO TO WITH MY COUSIN. :'D YAAAAAY. (/let's just forget about the tests the following days, 'kay?)
