At Think Thank we like our Europeans in one place in the video where we can keep an eye on them, make sure they aren't ripping harder than us Americans or spreading any sort of socialist agenda. Well, it backfired. Fredi Perry attacked us with his steez (again) and one of a kind creative flow while Erik "Creepy K" Karlsson (aka "I Have A Question Erik") slammed us over the head with a Swedish meatball (or fish) of a gap / rail assault. For the first time since 1905 Norway and Sweden put their disputes aside to dominate this 2.5 minutes of "Methods of Prediction", and we couldn't be happier. There were doomsday predictions of ruined flat screen TVs and unwarranted scarf wearing, but in the end it was just good times with some great boarders from different borders. The TVs were tubes (so no one except Lucey cared they got ruined), the scarves were warranted (on account of "Football") and the socialist agendas well received. Skal! Skol!

Ducksjen! The classic movie.

I think the DUCKSJEN films are my favourite snowboard videos of all time. They are original. To recap, it was just a bunch of sponsorless or near sponsorless snowboarders from Norway, without a film budget, and without any professional editing ability. Just some dudes looking to do something cool and have some fun. And look at what they produced. Its gold.

If you need to get stoked up for winter, or just getting ready for a rail session, watch this video. These guys will get you hyped with there ordinary to extraordinary snowboarding.

Fred and Leonard go snowboarding

Now if you haven't heard of the Fred Perry, you either don't go shopping enough or you don't watch enough snowboarding. Edited by Kasper Haagstrom, the mind behind the infamous Norwegian DUCKSJEN video's, this edit will knock your socks off. I really like how Kasper doesn't focus on crazy banger tricks, or death defying stunts, but some of the funnier, more personable qualities of snowboarding.

Technicality: 7/10 Some of the tricks are not that hard

Editing: 10/10 So much fun to watch

Style: 9/10 I think these guys have a ton of personality when it comes to tricks

Music: 4.5/5 I love most of the music

SO THAT TOTALS: 31.5/35 which is 9 outta 10. Pretty fucking good if you ask me. I watch this video all day.

On a more personal note, sometimes I wonder about this in snowboarding. The more intimate side of snowboarding; the time you spend on a chairlift with someone, the time you spend building a run in, or even just a sleepy car ride in the morning. I wish more video's tried to capture this part of snowboarding a little bit more. Maybe its hard to find. So many times I think we are all trying to be so tense that we forget to be friendly, or help a dude out if he is trying to learn a trick. I wish the snowboard community was a little bit more open in terms of who gets in, about who is in your crew, and who you are even taking a run with. 

So next time you ride up with a rando, maybe say hi see how their day is going. Hey who knows, they might end up being a pretty rad person and you might make a new friend.
