Ducksjen! The classic movie.

I think the DUCKSJEN films are my favourite snowboard videos of all time. They are original. To recap, it was just a bunch of sponsorless or near sponsorless snowboarders from Norway, without a film budget, and without any professional editing ability. Just some dudes looking to do something cool and have some fun. And look at what they produced. Its gold.

If you need to get stoked up for winter, or just getting ready for a rail session, watch this video. These guys will get you hyped with there ordinary to extraordinary snowboarding.

Can it be??? The Final Ducksjen edit?

  I love Kasper Haggstrom's edits. They are cool, original and I just get stoked on riding them. It making snowboarding seem like a fuck ton of fun. Which it is. But I mean film can make good things look bad or bad things look good. So I am Kasper is doing snowboarding some justice. 

Kasper Haggstom in my opinion, has had a huge effect on snowboarding. This dude takes such a unique and fun look at snowboarding. I hope people remember his edits. I know I try to make snowboarding feel like these videos do.

Scandalnavians Week! - Teaser

  If you watched Random Bastards "Blue Balls" last season you will know what I am talking about. if you haven't seen it. Think of what happens when you expose children to freezing outdoor temperatures, excessive amounts of snow and a viking mentality. And there you have it, the Scandalnavians team. 

Somewhat of an offshoot from the Ducksjen Era of Scandinavian videos, these guys jib, jump and do a little messing around on there own. This video has enough personality to make your kindergarten teacher vomit. So take a seat, and get stoked.

Ducksjen - Round Two

Ducksjen's second video. In my opinion it wasn't as good as the first one, but it still has a lot of new tricks and Kasper's editing is still amazing. I think the film isn't as homegrown and trys to do what DUCKSJEN did the first time.

I think it gave a lot of Norwegian riders a really good opportunity to stand out too, something that doesn't happen a lot. Because of stupid marketing, many really good riders with unfortunately difficult names to pronounce in English don't end up making the cut. For example DCP - David Carrere Porchein I probably didn't even spell it right. Awesome french canadian snowboarder, who was saved by his initials.

A really amazing part from Torgeir Berre, and opener from Fred Perry, He's so talented, snowboarder and major fashion designer lol.

Binge Snowboarding.

Who says too much tv is bad for you! Another video by Kasper Haagstrom, he just picks such awesome music. Who can blame me for watching hours of his videos... every day.

On a more serious note, the parapalegic is a well known now ex-professional Norwegian snowboarder named Torgeir Berre. He ended up breaking his back at a practice session for a competition in New Zealand last year. It is sad for sure, but it's pretty awesome he was able to even get back out there only after a year after his accident.

It would take a lot of balls.

If I end up posting every single DUCKSJEN video I have ever watched I am sorry. Kasper Haagstrom can edit videos so well though. I really appreciate them, and the feel that the videos give - they are like professionally shot "home videos" with a bit of 80's mixed in there.

Well Goodmorning, Ducksjen.

Hey my name is Braden, I am a 23 year old from Calgary, Canada. I wanted to start a blog to collect all the interesting things I found on the internet. I don't really think life is about being good at one specific thing, or having one specific focus. Life is eclectic, and our lives aren't any different. So here is an collection of things I find inspiring or that I'm working on.

My first post is the first DUCKSJEN snowboard video which came out two years ago. Its a bunch of Norwegian kids, mostly unsponsored just snowboarding cause they love it. They aren't particularly great snowboarders, but I think thats what makes it great. It brings it back home.
