After piloting Wikimedia’s Oral History initative with AfroCrowd , and creating the initial database list of freedom colonies at Wikipedia this summer, #MappingFreedom founder Darold Cuba will join Columbia University’s Oral History Master of Arts (OHMA) program, in the 11th cohort, c/o 2019. Columbia’s program is the oldest Oral History discipline of its kind.
At OHMA, he will also be founding the International Association of Freedom Colonies (iAFC) as an international historical association, preservation and restoration society, edu-tourism research and knowledge sharing vehicle, and support group and meetup for all of the freedom colonies in the world, their descendants, supporters and patrons.
