Guys! Freedom Farm us in the last leg of getting their new property. They need to raise a bit more money. Okay so here is what’s happening now: our lender originally committed to $160k, but they just contacted me and said when they went to finalize everything with their higher ups, only $150k was approved since we are only in our first year and didn’t have one full tax year yet. So now we are in the final stretch and we need to come up with an extra $10k just to have the money by our closing date which is (1/28). This is insane, they committed to a certain amount it’s ridiculous that they can back down $10k! We are using every penny in our account to make this property happen, we will need to raise money to make up for what our lender backed down on, closing cost as well as fencing & shelters. The bottom line amount they will take for this property is $250,000. This property is 43 acres, 30 of which is cleared land which is perfect for the horses, and future cows. This property was a hunting cabin. Complete with a slaughter room 🤢. I can’t even imagine how many animals have been hunted and killed on this land. What better way to honor those lives lost than to turn the property into a sanctuary. We have currently been approved for $200k. We are working with our lender and the seller to see if there is anyway we can work things out so we don’t lose this property. But it may come down to being more money than we have to offer. Can we fundraise for this to happen? You guys are always there for us and have proven your strength and support time and time again.
