Maia and Blake turned their heads towards me as I took the last bite off my french toast. “What,” I said, but the food in my mouth made it sound more like a “Wot.”
Blake laughed, “Y/N is too busy daydreaming about Luuuucas,” she winked. I rolled my eyes at both of them as they started laughing. They had been bothering me the whole week after they saw me leaving school with him, but even they know, that I’ve spent half of my life daydreaming about the brunette that I actually left with. "Yes, I was just vividly picturing our first date, our wedding day… Our honeymoon,“ I smirked. "With a pair feet like those? You won’t be able to walk for a year, honey,” Maia sassed.
The three of us started laughing uncontrollably. It got to the point where the other people at the café shot us dirty looks. I choked on my food a little and started coughing. “Stop it, Maia,” Blake got in between giggles, “You’re going to kill Y/N.”
“I had no idea my feet were that funny,” a voice stated behind me, and judging by the redness that had now consumed my friends’ faces, I very well knew who the owner was.
“Did your mother never tell you that it’s rude to eavesdrop on people’s conversations, Lucas?” I asked as I turned my head to stare at the tall blonde. He placed his hands on my shoulders and lowered his smirking face to my ear, “Calum’s looking for you.”
After paying, I left Luke to flirt with Maia and Blake back at the café. Outside, cars rushed by and people strolled along the streets. “Hello, gorgeous,” a raspy voice whispered behind me as a pair of strong arms enveloped me. I smiled and felt my cheeks heat up. My back fell against his lean chest, his lips found the side of my neck. Warmth spread through my skin and made its way to my chest. Inside, butterflies fluttered and my heart did summersaults. I slowly turned around in his embrace and raised my hands up to his neck. He really was dreamy. His chocolate eyes looked like honeydew under the sunlight. Dimples dotted his cheeks and the sudden urge to kiss him struck me.
“Cal,” I mused. His smile grew somehow even bigger and he pushed a strand of stray hair behind my ear. "You don’t actually daydream about Luke, do you?“ He asked cheekily. "Why, are you jealous?” I taunted. Calum’s grip tightened on me, “Maybe I could sway your thoughts?” I was about to ask him what he meant when suddenly he started placing sloppy kisses up my neck. “Calum,” I laughed, “PDA!” His chest vibrated against mine and his eyes met mine again, A thought seemed to pass momentarily across his eyes, “Come on tour with us.”
I stared at him for a while, was he kidding? I mean, the expenses, the arrangements, and just my presence would be a burden. As much as I wanted- wished to go, I felt as if the gorgeous tanned guy in front of me was being too impulsive. "Cal… Are you thinking this through?“ I asked. His face fell for a second so I quickly added, "Not that I wouldn’t want to… It’s just- Look, Cal, I don’t have the money, and I sure as hell can’t take yours. Plus what about the other guys? You’re there to tour! And as amazing as I know I am,” Calum grinned at this as I continued, “I can’t be there to bug you guys,” I finished. Calum’s face became very serious, “Y/N,” he started, cupping my face lightly, “It would be my pleasure to have my love touring the world with me, and I sure as hell will pay for everything.” I hated him for being able to make my stomach turn to goo with his sultry voice and darling eyes.
It felt as if he was staring into my soul at times, but as I was about to object, he interrupted, “I love you. I think I’ve known for a while now, pretty girl.” I placed my hand on his cheek and felt him lean into my palm, warmth being welcomed through my skin instantly. “I love you,” I whispered. He leaned in and placed his lips on mine, moving them slowly. His hands pulled at my waist, bringing us even closer together. My hands drifted up into his hair, lightly pulling at his brown curls. “So is that a yes, love?” Calum asked cheerfully. I laughed, “I will pay for 90%.” Calum frowned before shaking his head with a smirk, “10%.”
“85%”
“11%”
“100% plus your share”
“What!?” Calum stated as he laughed and dimples erupted on his face. “Y/N, can’t you count?” I whacked his nose, “Clearly I know my numbers, you, on the other hand, worry me, dear, as this is not counting rather a sequence, where I pay for my things and either you learn to live with it or I’ll buy your stuff too!
"Well, smart arse, bet you didn’t see this one coming, d'ya?” I was about to ask him what he meant when suddenly he pulled out a plane ticket to Ireland, their next touring destination. I stared at the piece of paper dumbfounded and glared at Calum.
“This is the part when you say, "Thank you, Calum!!” and jump into my arms,“ he mocked in a high pitched voice. "I don’t sound like that,” I stated in a deliberately lower voice. Calum smirked and kissed my nose, but before he could straighten up, I grabbed his leather jacket and pressed my lips against his. He smiled into the kiss, “This is a yes,” I stated. He laughed and hugged me from behind again. "Hey, Y/N,“ Cal whispered into my ear, "you taste like french toasts.”
