His father, the city’s power-hungry but influential mayor, constantly pressured young Fred into following in his old man’s footsteps and dipping his toes into politics, but to his dismay, Freddie decided a career in law enforcement was much more appropriate. Due to his success with the cases he’d been given, he quickly rose to the rank of detective, though the rest of the men at the station don’t take him too seriously; they assume his father merely pulled a few strings.
