Unlucky people tended to be closed off, anxious, and stuck in negative cycles. - Martin Seligman on Optimism At the University of Pennsylvania, Martin Seligman showed that optimistic salespeople outsold pessimistic ones by 20–40%. Optimism meant they kept going after rejection instead of giving up. - Self-Fulfilling Prophecies When you expect things to go wrong, they usually do — not because of bad luck, but because your mindset holds you back.
