Ryan Murphy: I love my main characters; Rachel Berry, Sam Evans, Blaine Anderson [looks at smudged writing on hand] Kirk Humming
I like to imagine Dave or Elliott or Adam singing this to Kurt.
When did you start hating Blaine? There are so many people who liked him in season 2 and started to hate him either after the car scene, after the cheating, or after puppet master or tested. I never though he was a great guy tbh, I hated him the moment he told Kurt to put his hands down and babbled something about the warblers being a team while he himself sung everything and the others where his backup group.
Really full on hating Blaine was when the car scene happened. That was it for me. And in that same episode there was also the end of the WSS/Tony debacle, which really pissed me off, and I hated Blaine for not seeing how disappointed Kurt was he didn’t get, if not Tony, another good role in the musical.
But I never warmed up to Blaine from the start (the gesturing at Kurt to lower his arms was annoying indeed), and started disliking him for real when he went after Rachel when he knew Kurt was having a crush on him and Rachel was Kurt’s friend.
So about every other gay character on the show thinks Kurts too gay or too girly or too stereotypical and too flashy...
Yup. Santana, Dave, Blaine, Sebastian, Brittany, and now Spencer. (And if Beiste indeed transitions then he’ll be a gay/lgbtq man who once thought Kurt too effeminate as well). Only 1 of these characters is off the show now, and as far as we know none of them has really changed the way they thought about Kurt over the years (Blaine still wants Kurt to be in the damsel in distress role, and Santana still keeps calling Kurt “Lady Hummel”).
Gay/lgbtq characters who NEVER ridiculed Kurt for his looks, but on the contrary only complimented him: Chandler, Adam, Unique, Elliot, Dani. And all these characters aren’t on the show anymore (well Unique will be for 1 episode).
Kurt should have stayed in New York, where he belongs. Lima is only poison to him.
I can't tell you how over I am of Kurt constantly getting insulted (by Sue or others) for being gay. Ugh, when this show is supposed to be about embracing the underdogs. Fuck you, RIB, you've squandered and spit on everything Glee once stood for (for about a season and a half). And that comment from Spencer is aweful too. First of all it's a bit too meta in my opinion, as if RIB want to say that all Kurt was in high school, all he stood for, and by extension: all the popularity and sympathy he (and Chris) got,.. stem from him being a gay character and getting the gay posterboy storylines. When Kurt became the breakout character not because he was 'just' gay but because Chris portrayed him as a complex, multilayered personality. JFC: Kurt never "primarily identified himself as gay". What the fuck is that even? If anything he identified himself as a snarky but fashionable diva (and I loved him for it) and a very caring son and friend. Kurt is so much more than him being gay, although RIB never really looked beyond that. The writers may have forgotten who Kurt as a character was back then (and still is, thanks to Chris), but what a shitty way to summarize Kurt's 3 seasons long journey in high school.
It says so much about what RIB really think of Kurt now.
Things I´ve heard: If Blaine is abusive Kurt is stupid to stay with him, if you say klaine is toxic you can love Kurt because you think he´s stupid to stay with him. Blaine had a horrible childhood. Blaine is depressed. Kurt only cares for himself and is egoistic, Kitty, Karofsky, Jake, probably someone else too, did the same thing to Marley and other characters as Blaine did to Kurt, why is it only bad when Blaine does it, Blaine is too talented and good for Kurt, Kurt should be gratefull....
(2) Oh oh! the most important thing, The car scene wasn´t assault because Blaine was drunk/ wanted Kurt so bad/ is his boyfriend so he is allowed to/ Kurt gave mixed signals/ Kurt didn´t think it was assault so it isnt/ Kurt ows him sex…
(3) Kurt forced Blaine to change schools so Blaine is allowed to basically do anything he likes because he did that one thing for Kurt and it was a horrible loss for him and the warbler and traumatic probably and Kurt has to be grateful for that forever?
(4) I asked a klainer about why they think Blaine´s a cool guy, and they actually gave an explanation without using soulmate. But they still think Blaine´s perfect. About tested they said Blaine is just such a hero, that´s why he liked Kurt weak so he could help him, so heroic. The car scene was okay and Blaine stopped after Kurt said no (not true, we know), the cheating was just one mistake everyone makes. He had no idea Seb wanted to sleep with him. Everthing else is wrong interpretation.
(I think this is all the same anon, excuse me if I’m mistaken)
Add to that:
Kurt is to blame for Blaine’s cheating because he neglected him in NY and wasn’t interested in what bowtie Blaines should wear to school.
Kurt cheated first with Chandler.
Kurt should stay pure for Blaine when they’re broken up and is a slut for wanting to date or have sex with other men when he is single (when it’s okay for Blaine to fuck a facebook random, flirt with Sam and that gymclass guy, and shack up with Kurt’s former bully).
You’re a scary stan for saying that (aka not agreeing with me).
Blaine being bad is just your assumptions/head canon.
Just because they didn’t show it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
*insert other character* did/didn’t do the same thing with *insert other character*
Kurt is happy with Blaine, so stfu.
Kurt did wrong things to: when will he be held accountable for his actions?
Kurt doesn’t have to say yes if he doesn’t want to.
Actually, all of these excuses/accusations except for the first 3 were all used in another anon message I received yesterday. My guess is it’s from the same anon that has been accusing me of “interpreting Blaine wrongly” the past few days. LMAO.
