“Yeah, I understand.”
Well that was not good. It took all he had not to sigh. He had expected something like this from Wash, but Carolina? Oh well. “Well is there…anyway to turn it off? or have you already tried?” he questioned. hoping that it wouldn’t do anything..bad to her considering the system was supposed to run all at once and since she wasn’t bolting around the room like Soinc the Hedgehog then it wasn’t being used properly.
"It is off." See, the biochemistry adjustments were meant to offset physical wear and tear and provide the physical energy levels (needed a hell of a lot more food intake to counter-act it though); as it was, they were acting as some kind of powerful drug that was lingering in her system because she hadn't counteracted it, and she couldn't just magically get rid of it without running the full unit - which was both against the rules, and dangerous in an enclosed space like the ship. "I need to get out of this armor."

There's a dog on the ship. This thought didn't occur to her until a good moment after she walked into the rec. room and saw the creature, freezing up momentarily, her eyes wide. She would have just left, but she had a morning routine, and she was very stubborn. As such, she would move very slowly into the room, keeping an eye on the dog. Don't notice me. Please, please, please don't notice me.
She really didn't like dogs. North, why?
North flashed her a small smile, trying to be comforting. “Of course you can.” With that he pulled the woman into a tight hug, the kind of hug that he would give South when she needed to be reassured about something, or the kind of hug he wished he could give Theta when he can’t sleep. “It’s alright, cry as much as you want Carolina. it’ll be our secret.” he reassures. He feels that sometimes people like to forget that Carolina is human just like the rest of them, she needs to let things out as well.
"I just..." Nope, new wave of tears. No talking, not yet; the pain is still just a little bit raw from her delving into it. She's tried for so long not to think about it, but she'd never given herself a chance to actually feel the loss. So she'd practically collapse into that hug, the tears overwhelming her. Her emotions were volatile, threatening to take over at any time, and while she tried to keep them tamped down, sometimes they just exploded. Anger, sadness, pain, jealousy, fear... "I'm sorry..."
"winner"
"HAHAHAHAHA!" Man, the setup was great. Actually being able to like, get inside the game’s software and become a player was AWESOME. And totally allowed. So, when Theta skidded into first, it was literally him.
"IN YOUR FACE! I AM THE KING OF MARIO CARTS MWUHAHAHAHAHHAHA! NONE CAN DEFEAT ME!"
